Due to popular demand, and ‘likes’ on our Facebook page, we have decided to put the Skunk Rinse Recipe on our BLOG. We hope that this wonderful cleaning formulation minimizes the smelly trauma many of our clients experience when their pet cuddles with a beloved skunk.
Just as with any pet cleaning shampoo/solution, please do not let this formula come in contact with your pet’s eyes or mouth.
The recipe is as follows:
Tomato juice isn’t nearly as effective as this recipe, and it’s easy to follow.
In a pail mix:
- 1-quart hydrogen peroxide (the 3 percent hydrogen peroxide variety) – just under a Litre
- ¼ cup baking soda
- 2 teaspoons dishwashing liquid
