Itβs the time to be thinking of getting back to routines for back to school.
Many of our pets thrive on having us home more often during the summer months. When we go back to school/work, they often find it difficult. Especially the ones that have separation anxiety.
We strongly recommend transitioning them back to this routine over a week or two, before the kids are back full time.
Some suggestions include, leaving your pet alone for short periods at first, then lengthen the time gradually. Leave background noise, either music or even a screen if they like to watch. Give them puzzle toys for them to work on while you are away. Hide treats all over the house for a surprise.
