Diagnostic Ultrasound

Ultrasonography is a completely non-invasive, painless method of diagnosing and evaluating a wide range of organ changes. Our own Dr. Laura Sommerville has taken extra training in diagnostic ultrasound.

Ultrasonography is a diagnostic technique that produces an imaging study by using ultrasound waves. This means that internal images of the patient’s body can be seen when we perform ultrasonography. Ultrasonography, unlike some other imaging studies such as x-rays, does not use radiation. Instead, ultrasonography creates a picture of what is inside your pet’s body by using high-frequency sound (ultrasound) waves.

We now offer abdominal, bladder, and single organ ultrasounds.
